On the go...

At just shy of the five month mark (already?), Dawson is never still. Ever. He is always kicking his legs, flailing his arms, chewing on his fists, grabbing at his feet, rolling over and jabbering away. In his transition from four to five months, he really is becoming more and more of a little boy. It's so fun to see the gears in his brain turning as he takes everything in. He loves to mimic and repeat sounds that Daryn and I speak to him. Sometimes he gets pretty close to the actual word...he's a genius! Haha, right...

Take a look at the recent pictures below to catch up on Dawson's adventures...

Dawson' cool new hat from Uncle Ty and Nikki. Uncle Ty has a matching one.

Dawson's new favorite toy. Everyday he gets more and more interactive and enjoys this toy even more.

Checkin' out the scene...can you tell he is becoming quite the ham?

Cheese!

Bath time. D is really starting to kick and splash during his baths.

Our little Valentine

Today Daryn and I took Dawson to the Deer Valley indoor water park. Dawson had a blast! He is quite the little fish already...swimming, kicking and splashing all over. Dad took him down his very first water slide! He even went under the water a few times too...

Don't know if Dawson enjoyed swimming or being half naked better, but either way we had so much fun! Can't wait for spring break in Florida were we can get lots of sun and swimming in!

Couldn't think of any other way to spend Valentine's Day than with the two men that make my heart skip a beat...I am one lucky lady, that's for sure!

Four months already?

We can't remember what life was like without Dawson but yet it's hard to believe four months has flown by...

Being a parent definitely has its challenges and can bring out the "not so wonderful" parts of yourself, but that is far outweighed by all of the great things that comes along with parenthood. It's funny how a long night with no sleep leaves you so frustrated yet all it takes is one gummy smile for you to forget all that happened the night before.

I have been able to stay home with Dawson and it's been so wonderful to see how much he changes. He's like a new little boy every day, learning and developing so much. I have been freelance graphic designing from home too since Dawson has joined our family and that has been going really well. It's taken off and brings great balance for me. Daryn works about 1 mile from home at Snap and is able to come home for lunch and hang out with me and Dawson. Life is too good to us!

At four months Dawson...

- Weighs 17lbs! (Helps tone Mom's arms!) and is 27.5" long
- Smiles and laughs constantly
- Loves anything having to do with his feet...staring at them, grabbing them, trying to eat them, kicking them back and forth...
- Put his whole fist in his mouth and chew on them
- Loves to play in his jungle and bat at his "friends"
- Eats some rice cereal...makes some great faces, but chows it down...
- Vibrates his lips together to make the "brrrrrrrr" sound (and sometimes does it for hours on end...no joke.)
- Loves music! Even his mom's tone-deaf singing...
- Is constantly moving...never, ever sits still
- Has rolled over a handfull of times, but doesn't very often
- Fights sleep with all that he's got...and then fights it some more
- Doesn't really like pacifiers...prefers his hands to chomp on
- Wakes up every night within 5 min. of 3am to eat
- Enjoys hanging out with Dad on weekend mornings while mom sleeps in :)
- Loves the sound of his voice and is constantly chatting away

Thanks for checking in with us! Here are some pics of Dawson's latest adventures!
